General descriptionTypes of facilities, used materials. Load impact on facilities. Facility designing. Static schemes. Support details, constructions of joints and boundaries. Pillars, road structure. Calculations realted to bridges of different types of materials. Culverts, viaducts, trestles. Construction organising and technology. Renovation of current existing bridges.
General aimThe aim of the course is to give students the basic knowledge of different types of facilities, concerning load impact, materials used, static schemes and calculation principles. The course also comprises construction technology and organising issues.
AimAfter mastering the course the students will know the exact process of facility engineering and construction. The students will have the knowledge to solve practical assignments related to facilities.
Form descriptionDuring the lectures principles of designing and building of road facilities are given, sample assignments are made. 2 home assignments. Composing synopis. Examination in written form.
