General description

Main topics covered by course:
-nature and development of photogrammetry and remote sensing, historical overview about the development of photogrammetry,
-process of taking and making aerial photos, planning the making of aerial photos,
-photogrammetrical products and usage of them,
-analogue and digital equipment in photogrammetry, difference in making photos with analogue and digital technology,
-types of projections and their properties,
-two-dimensional and three-dimensional photogrammetrical coordinate systems, elements of orientation of aerial photos,
-coordinates on aerial photos and their relation to other coordinates,
-scales of horizontal and vertical aerial photos on smooth and on relief landscape,
-deformations and dislocations on aerial photos,
-making maps based on aerial and satellite photos,
-decoding (mapping) of aerial and satellite photos..

General aim

Students will get basic knowledge about taking aerial photos and about processes of producing and using of aerial and satellite photos. The course will give the basis for the others subjects related with photogrammetry and remote sensing.

Aim

basic in planning the process of taking aerial photos,
-know different photogrammetrical products and their usage,
-know about modern technology of producing photos,
-be able to compare processes receiving photos by the analogue and digital technology,
-know two-dimensional and three-dimensional photogrammetrical coordinate systems,
-be able to make photogrammetrical computation related to coordinates, scale deformation and dislocations in horizontal and vertical aerial photos,
-understand, how to make maps based on aerial and satellite photos,
-be able to decode (map) aerial and satellite photograph.
