General descriptionThe economic models. The economic functions. The linear equations and feasibility. Percentage and financial calculations. Linear systems of equations and matrixes in economy. Mathematical functions in economy. Differential calculations of functions of one variable in economy. Optimisation of functions in economy. The graphic solution of linear planning exercises. Simplex method.
General aimThe aim of the course is to give thorough knowledge about elements of Economic Mathematics and to develop practical skills in that field.
AimStudent after completing the course knosw functions of economics; is able to distinguish them; to present them graphically; is able to compose and equations of elementary economics exercises and to solve them; is able to calculate percentage and financial exercises; is able to apply the theory of matrixes and linear systems of the equations in economics tasks; is able to optimise of ecnomic functions; is able to solve graphically linear planning tasks.
Form descriptionLectures and practice sessions in the classroom. Individual work - studying the given notes, solving exercising tasks, preparing for tests and exam.
