General description

In the lecture, work is done with Siemens, Solid Edge software, but all CAD software’s are aloud. Students learn to model more complex and time consuming parts than before, build assemblies and drawings.

General aim

The course aim is to improve and further develop skills learned in “CAD Systems RKE069". During the course modeling, drafting and drawing visualizing techniques are looked through. Students learn to construct frame structures surface modeling and model rendering. Special attention is pay to parametric models and assemblies.

Aim

Student who is passed the course knows and is able to use model and surface design techniques. Is able to construct more than 10 part assemblies. Is able to visualize mechanical drawings and linking them with assemblies. Has achieved good enough skills in CAD software and is keen to further develop.

Form description

In lectures (seminars) takes place sample problem solving, feature explaining and overall discussion. Based on skills learned in lectures students have to perform their home tasks.
