During the course modern clothing CAD systems are introduced. A thorough analysis of Lectra Systems software packages is performed. On the basis of Modaris software master patterns are constructed and constructional modeling is performed; pattern digitizing, grading by sizes and heights and making pattern layouts on different materials.

The purpose is to provide practical skills for self-sufficient creation of new garment manufacture development on the basis of Lectra Systems programs Modaris and Diamino.

Student is be able to create patterns of clothing construction applying CAD systems. To develop and to grade patterns of models. To prepare pattern makers.

Lectures, practical and individual work.

Software version HELP and information from the developers web-pages. Teaching materials provided at the lectures; web-page addresses.

Presentations of all practical works
Examination: test and practical work
