Subject 'Optical Illusion'Name in Estonian: Optiline illusioon
General descriptionOP-art and the garment. Optical illusion techniques and instruments. Constructive and decorative lines of clothing. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines of clothing. Colors in optical illusions. Creation of appropriate clothing for different body types: broad shoulders and narrow hips;long legs and a short waist. Facial shapes - suitable/unsuitable headgear, necklines and collars.
General aimThe course is part of the DESIGN module. The course aims at developing the students' artistic sense and creative thinking. The aim is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills of independent creative work in creating and shaping garments; to develop imagination, logical thinking and the sense of style.
AimOn completion of the course the students know the nature of optical illusions, and how to implement their knowledge when designing clothes for different body types.
