Subject 'Practical Training in Sewing'

Students are taught to form and to sew practically clothes of different construction by choosing model, making patterns and sewing for an individual figure; to choose rational methods of clothing processing; to define variances and to evaluate garment quality.

To provide knowledge and skills about the progressive sewing technologies according to theoretical basis of material science, mechanical processes of clothing manufacturing, technical design of clothing and modelling of costume; to train and develope practical skills of clothing processing.

On completion of the course students should be able to know the sequence of clothing processing and quality requirements as well as joining methods of the garments details and parts; to choose equipment for technological operations; to sew by individual measurements different types of clothes.

Cognitive abilities of sewing processing are obtained within practical work in sewing laboratory.
