General descriptionPrinciples of strength of materials; deformation properties of materials and different work conditions of bars; strength and rigidity calculations in stretch-compression; permissable stresses and load factors; stresses in oblique sections in case of axial tension; equality of complementary shear stresses; concept of principal stress; level and three-dimensional stress; shear strain; strength calculations of structures in shear strain; moments of inertia of an area and their changing in shifting and turning; polar moment of inertia and biaxial moment of inertia; moment of resistance; torsional strain; diagrams of torsional moments; distribution of stresses in cross-sections; strength and rigidity calculations in torsion.
General aimTo develop studentsŽ engineering-technical way of thinking, necessary for specialists of applied architecture in their further everyday work.
AimStudents after completing the course have obtained the knowledge which help to understand the subsequent special courses, and is necessary in their further everyday work.
