General descriptionThe course introduces students to the contemporary thinking in strategy and the state of the art business skills needed to plan and manage strategic activities. The learning is aimed to solve problems occurring in the real world, through text reading, lectures and in-class discussion.
General aimTo introduce the nature and scope of strategic management, strategic planning process and it´s coordination.
AimUpon completion, students should 1.develop an understanding of different elements of the Strategic Management process, research and theories; 2.apply Strategic Management process to real life business cases and formulate recommendations to help firms creates and sustain competitive advantage; 3.develop an appreciation for the general manager’s cross-functional perspective of complex problems; 4.familiar of decision making process required to build strategy in organizations.
