Subject 'Sea Transport'Name in Estonian: Meretransport
General aimThe general objective of the course is to provide knowledge of the regularities and features of domestic and international cargo/passenger transportation.
AimAfter completing the course the student
has to know: - the transportation characteristics of the main sea freights; - organization of marine transport; - organization and documents of ship freightage; - the content of contracts of affreightment; - formation and usage of transport and service tariffs; - responsibiulityy for the cargo persistence. has to be able to: - execute and assess the ship freight documents; - apply different types of contracts of affreightment; - execute takeover/deliovery documents; - settle commercial disputes with commodity owners and harbours.
