Subject 'Pre-diploma Practical Training'Name in Estonian: Diplomieelne praktika
General descriptionThe pre-diploma practical training is meant for gathering the source data concerning the shortcomings and the need of implementing additional service in transportation and logistics companies. The aim is to offer solutions to the problems in the graduation thesis.
General aimThe goal of the pre-diploma practical training is to develop the students' analysis and synthesis ability in the field of logistics and economy, and the ability to set problems, which have to be solved in the process of writing the graduation thesis. After having formulated the problem, students are able to gather data independently, consider different solutions and choose the optimum solution to the problem.
AimThe student has realized the importance of gathering the necessary material/data for the graduation thesis. The student is familiar with the problems/the company's shortcomings set in the graduation thesis, and is able to find additional information for supplementing the source data. The student works with the source data and can synthesize different versions for solving the given problem.
Form descriptionAdvisably, the student is in the same enterprise as during his/her engineering practice. The student draws up the practice report, which will be signed by the company supervisor. The practice report has to be defended and approved of by the TTK/UAS supervisor.
