General description

Forces acting on vehicle. Acceleration and braking dynamic. Force and power balance calculation. Economic characteristics. Kinematics of car turn and manoeuvring. Stability of car. Off-road properties. Noise, vibration and harshness.
Car dynamic measurement systems. Straight line drive dynamic measurements. Curved line drive dynamic measurements. Circuit drive analysis. Experimental fuel consumption measurements.

General aim

Student knows:
Vehicle dynamics
Car stabilty and road safety conditions and affecting factors
Car handling reactions by driving aid equipment
Car construction influence to driving line
Car dynamic and utilization measurement techniques and data analysis

Aim

Student can evaluate utilization options and calculate vehicle dynamic properties for various types of drive schemes.

Evaluation methods

During lectures there are three works and it gives sixty percent of final grade:
Written task during lectures
Test report
Control work
The rest of fourty percent is based on portfolio and its defence with self evaluation.
All works has to be completed on time and minimum level is fifty one percent at each work.
