General descriptionGeneral functions of chassis and key components.
Dependent and independent suspension systems. Shockabsorbers. Suspension elastic elements and joints. Hub carriers and bearings. Tires and wheels. Steering system. Steering geometry and wheel alignement. Brake system. Body in White and self supporting frames. Prerequisites: Physics I, Theoretical Mechanics and Car management bases. General aimThe aim of the course is to provide knowledge about the type of car body and undercarriage design solutions and specificity of the impact of the car body and undercarriage servicing and diagnostics.
AimAfter the completion of the course the student knows the car chassis, brake and steering systems, body and undercarriage constructive solutions, is able to compare them and to take into account the features car maintenance organization.
Form descriptionCourse will take place in the spring semester. Volume of the course of 48 hours, which is 38 hours of lectures and 10 hours of practical training.
