Subject 'Technological Requirements for Cars'

General concepts. Compulsory equipment of a vehicle. Requirements for lighting equipment, steering wheel, brakes, tyres. Requirements for running gear and bodywork, engines, their fuel systems. Additional requirements for buses. The biggest measurements of vehicle. Masses of vehicle and road trains. The biggest permissible axle loads. Additional requirements for the vehicles participating in international traffic. Requirements for technical inspections.

The aim of the course is to provide professional knowledge about the requirements of carsŽ technical condition. Getting to know vehicle measurements, permissible greatest actual masses and axle loads. Arrangement and requirements of carsŽ technical inspection.

Student after completing the course knows the technical requirements for cars, their relations with traffic safety; can modify different body types depending on the purpose of vehicle; knows the documents regulating the rebuilding of car bodies.
