General description

Classification of vehicles. Permitted dimensions and masses of vehicles. Environmental requirements for internal combustion engines. Solutions for power transmissions. Goods container of a truck and its requirements. Constructions of superstructures used in trucks. Classfication of trucks based on their function.

General aim

This course is optional in transport technology module of LI curriculum.
The aim of this course is to give knowledge about cars and trucks. Dimensions of vehicles, maximum actual masses and axle loads allowed, classification of vehicles based on their function and construction, basics of construction of trucks, requirements for goods container of trucks

Aim

After completing the course the student will understand the classification of vehicles and knows the construction of vehicles and trucks.
