General description

Rules of making drawings: sheet size, line type, scales of degrees, font. Triple view, projections of a point and a line, interposition. Axonometry and its types. Different lines, their lengths and slope angles; interpositions of lines. Flat surfaces of special and general position, their traces. Rotation technique. Ways of additional designing. Intersection of a flat surface and a cuboid. Intersections and developments of bodies. Depicting techniques (views, cross sections, brought out element, special cases of sections).
Helical line. Threads. General data about threads. Representation of threads on technical drawings. Draft. Draft making sequence. Working drawing. Working drawings requirements.

General aim

The aim of the course is to develop three-dimensional imagination, to give knowledge about making and reading technical drawings, to give an overview of the standards, how to use them and develop skills through practical activities.

Aim

The student having passed the course:
- has an overview of standards and knows how to handle reference material;
- knows the norms that deal with making technical drawings and types of graphic representation;
- commands the drawing technique;
- can make in accordance with valid norms technical drawings and drafts of parts;
- can read working and assembly drawings.
