General descriptionIHistory and importance of measuring. ISO system in Estonia. Classification of measuring instruments, their usage and control. Measuring force and temperature. International metrological infrastructure. Uncertainty of measurement. Length, form, gear and surface measuring systems. Hand measuring instruments. Indicating measuring instruments for inside and outside dimensions. Electrical and digital measuring instruments. Selection of measuring instruments. Measuring works in laboratory.
General aimThe aim of the course is to study measuring instruments used in machine-building and gain practical skills for using them.
AimThe student who has mastered this course knows and is able to use the main measuring instruments used in machine-building, can select and maintain them.
