General description

Mechanical and physical-chemical methods of powder fabrication. Properties of metal powders. Powder shaping and compaction, tools, equipments.
Sintering processes the powder products. Non-liquid and liquid phase sintering. Sintering atmospheres, furnaces. Properties and using the powder materials.

General aim

Subject of this course is to give knowledge about powder metallurgy as technological method for manufacturing construction materials and products.

Aim

The student who has mastered this course has a knowledge of metal powder properties and shaping and sintering processes.
