General description

Character of hydraulic drive. Components of the drive. Power transmission in liquids. Hydrostatic pressure. Pressure force. Hydraulic amplifier. Liquid flow. Rate of flow. Flow resistance. Loss of pressure. Energetic balance in flowing liquids. Flowing from hole and from jet. Hydraulic fluids, their classification and requirements. Filtration of the liquids. Pumps, their classification, requirements and design. Pressure-release valves, pressure reducing valves. Pressure switch.
Throttle valve, current controller. Dividers: classification, marking and controlling. Hydraulic actuators: cylinders and engines. Reservoirs, pipes, pipe fittings. Pneumatic system components: compressors, moisture catchers, receivers, pipeline, vacuum generator.

General aim

The aim of the course is to give knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic drives and their usage. About equipment and accessories used in hydraulics and pneumatics and the applications of hydraulics and pneumatics in machine-building.

Aim

The student who has mastered this course knows the principles of using hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and accessories used in them. Knows the general-and safety requirements.
