Subject 'Basics of Automation'Name in Estonian: Automatiseerimise alused
General descriptionObjectives of automation. Classification of control systems, architecture and elements. Feedback. Mathematical models of systems. Analysis of systems, main concepts. Synthesis of control systems. Main control laws, quality of control. Transducers, regulators, programmable controllers, electrical drivers. Examples of control systems, hierarchical control of production, "intelligent building".
General aimThe aim of this course is to give the general overview on automatic control theory on structure, elements and devices of control systems, to acquaint the possibilities of automation on everyday life and industry, automation equipment and their technical properties .
AimThe student who has mastered this course knows the main structural schema and elements of automation, and their usage. Knows the possibilities of automation on controlling equipment and processes.
