General descriptionA business language course for the students of all curricula.
The aim of the course is to improve the business vocabulary in German and to practice both oral and written business communication. After completing the course students are able to - compose and write business letters; - compile a CV and a motivation letter in German; - review business-related texts; - make a company presentation. - Students know the professional vocabulary within familiar topics and can successfully apply the knowledge in a business situation. Reviewing and commenting of business-related texts, oral and written communication, exercises on difficult language constructions, description of charts. Topics: - Work environment, compiling CVs and motivation letters; - Writing business letters; - Advertising, its purpose, role and influence on customers; - Entrepreneurship, its various forms; - Description of charts; - Presentation techniques.
