General description

Essence of politics. Subjects of politics. Power and politics. Democracy and the rule of law. Systems of elections. Citizenship. Diplomacy and international agreements. Foreign policy of Estonia. The European Union.

General aim

The objective of the course is to provide the students with general knowledge of contemporary socio-political and legal problems in the society.

Aim

After completing the course students are able to participate actively in civil society; are able to understand the legal aspects of politics and is able to analyse the sociopolitical aspects in the society.
