General descriptionThis ability will be developed through a variety of exercises and activities: sentence building exercises, short response exercises, essay writing, role-plays, discussions, reports, and presentations. Topics will include environmental, social, and ethical issues.
General aimTo improve the student's ability to express him/herself in both oral and written form in English, to enable him/her to write and deliver reports or presentations, argue, negotiate, generally converse and express a point of view more effectively.
AimA student who has successfully passed through this course
- delivers reports in English more effectively; - writes summaries of different texts; - expresses and defends his/her opinions or positions more effectively; - knows how to write various (business) letters. Form descriptionClassroom time is used to practise English using group work, pairwork, role-plays, presentations, short writing tasks,discussions, various exercises.
