General description

Work with special and professional texts, reporting, making summaries. Topics-related lexical and grammar exercises.
Grammar: Declension of a noun. Use of prepositions. Topics: Future profession. Work place and the introduction of a company. CV. Environment. Current environmental problems. Development of technology. Occupational safety.
Independent work: composition of a dictionary. Making and presenting a special presentation.

General aim

The objective of the course is the development of the four levels of a language skill (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through interactive and communicative activity, the acquisition of professional vocabulary.

Aim

Having passed the course the student:
- can explain in Russian the problems, related to his/her speciality;
- can make a presentation about a company, report texts with business content;
- knows professional vocabulary within the framework of passed topics;
- can compose a CV in Russian.

Grading criteria:

2. Oral presentation "Company operation fields".
The presentations grading criteria are provided by the lecturer at the beginning of the course.
3. Compiling a mini-dictionary of professional vocabulary: 150 words in minimum, 1/3 of them can be actively used.
