General description

Machinery, mechanisms, and productivity of road construction. Different modes of transport, lifting mechanisms, specialized equipment. Safety requirements.
Preparation and earthworks machinery, excavation and compaction. Machinery of road construction bases and coatings. Asphalt concrete production machines. Asphalt and the asphalt cement equipment and transportation machines. Concrete roads and facilities construction machinery. Machines and Mechanisms of road maintenance and repair works.

General aim

The objective of this subject is to give knowledge of the machines that are used during the road construction process.

Aim

Having passed the course successfully the student is aware how to choose the right road construction machines.
