General description

Basics of satellite survey. History of satellite surveys. Satellite survey systems (GPS, GLONASS, etc). Frames that are used in satellite navigation. GPS signal and orbits of satellites. GPS surveys errors. Observation amounts and compiling and solving observation equations. Planning GPS surveys. Preparatory works of GPS surveys, surveys and data processing. Permanent stations networks. Basics of GPS networks data processing.

General aim

The objective of the course is to give the students knowledge about the essence of satellite navigation, survey methods and fields of application.

Aim

The student, who has passed the course, has an overview of satellite navigation systems, can plan GPS surveys, knows different GPS survey methods as well as observation amounts and observation equations compiling principles. S/he can carry out GPS surveys and GPS network data processing
