Subject 'Geodesy I'Name in Estonian: Geodeesia I
General descriptionThe subject of geodesy. The shape and size of the Earth. Basics of the survey errors theory. Levelling. Adjustment of the lines of levels. Computations in grid coordinates: computations of a stroke with closed, with and without initial sides. Coordinates computations to a suspended point. A geodetic counter task
General aimThe objective of the course is to give the students knowledge about the subject of geodesy, surveys that are carried out, survey units and survey errors. Detail net computations and levelling are dealt with thoroughly. The adjustment methods of geodetic networks are learned
AimHaving successfully passed the course, the student knows the levelling technology and adjustment of levelling networks and can carry out the detail net computations. The also student understands the errors that arise at the survey and masters the calculation of the arithmetical mean and weighted mean
Form descriptionLectures, seminars, practical classes, group work, independent work.
