Calculation in the state of bearing and operational limit. Connections of timber structures. Plane beam systems. Full wall posts, arches, frames. Plane lattice girder systems. Guaranteeing the spatial stability. Production and monitoring of timber structures. Fire protection. Timber structures of buildings and bridges.
General aimThe objective of the course is to provide the students knowledge for the design of timber structures and skills for the use of the respective standard documents.
AimHaving passed the course the student:
- must be able to use standard documents and dimension as well as design mostly spread timber structures. Form descriptionAt lectures the theoretical basics of design is learned and sample tasks are done. Knowledge is tested by a written exam.
