| General description |
Standards of the design.
Loads of the building structures.
Properties and nature of timber. Timber defects and damages. Work with timber-related standard documents. Principles for calculation of timber structures. Calculation of the ultimate and serviceability limit state. Connections of timber structures. Plane beam systems. Full wall posts, arches, frames. Plane lattice girder systems. Guaranteeing the spatial stability. Production and monitoring of timber structures. Basis of fire protection. Timber structures of buildings. |

| The objective of the course is to provide the students knowledge for the design of simpler timber structures and skills for the use of the respective standard documents. |
