General aimThe objective of the course is to provide the students knowledge about the built up of buildings and the structures being used. During the course the students compile independent homework that is a preparation for the later architectural design in the courses "Design of Constructions"
AimHaving passed the course the students must know:
- structural schemes of different buildings; - structures, used for building different elements of buildings and assemblies of buildings that occur more often; Knowledge about building materials and their fields of application in constructing buildings has to be deepened Form descriptionTheoretical basics are mastered in lectures. Every theme is deepened in practical trainings where the main basics of the theme are studied deeply. On the basis of this homework is compiled in the form of individual assignments: a structural scheme, technical drawings of a foundation fragment; the selection of the structure of walls and the selection of heads for covering openings; composing an inserted ceiling of prefabricated elements, designing stairs for plans and sections.
