General description

Main basics of the design of buildings. Planning Act and Building Act. Indicators of buildings and their calculation. Requirements for buildings. Compiling a design. Main parameters of the design of rooms. Requirements for rooms. Timber-frame buildings. Timber panel buildings and platform constructions. Log houses. Saunas. Buildings of small blocks. Brick buildings.

General aim

The objective of the course is to teach the students the main basics of design and the criteria of compiling a design.

Aim

Having passed the course the student must:
- know structures from different materials;
- be able to find the different indicators of buildings;
- know the requirements for rooms;
- be able to choose independently the structural scheme of a building with main structures.

Form description

The course is passed in the form of lectures, during which tests are also written.
