General aimThe general objective is to provide the students basic knowledge about the economic mechanisms of the construction and immovable property market, calculation of the lifespan costs of a building, economical development in the construction environment, basics of business and management of a building company.
AimThe student who has passed the course:
- knows the economic mechanisms of the construction and immovable property market and the structure of the Estonian construction market; - knows the rules of starting a small business in the field of construction; - can use the mostly spread methods of analyse at the calculation of investment and life- cycle costs of buildings, among them based on the aspect of energy saving and environmental impact; - is informed about the economic issues of the usage of company resources.
