General description

Choice of a landfill site, site geological and hydro geological conditions. Collection and use of landfill gases that forming the landfill. Landfill percolating water – collection, treatment. Landfill construction and closure. Monitoring. Landfills for different types of waste.

The objective of the course is to provide an overview of landfill construction and possible environmental impacts.
