The formation of hazardous waste. Characteristics, classification, and collection of hazardous waste. Description of the system in place in Estonia. Different ways of treating hazardous waste.
Occupational health and safety when handling hazardous waste. Depositing of hazardous waste.

The objective of the course to give an overview of different types of hazardous waste and their treatment.

Having passed the course the student:
- knows different types of hazardous waste and the most spread treatment systems.
