Subject 'Landscaping - Project'Name in Estonian: Haljastus - projekt
General descriptionDrawing up two designs. Lectures are held as an introduction to the designs. For familiaring with the plot Kevin LynchŽs analysis is used, study of historical background etc. Developing the skills of self-expressing through writing essays and defending sketches.
General aimObtaining basic skills to accomplish a rough urban landscape design through spatial designing. As a result of the cooperation of an architect and a landscape designer it is to complete an exterior space planning. Overview of plants growing in Estonia, familiarizing with different opportunities of using various surface covering materials in landscape.
AimAfter completing the course a student should be able to use the results of dendrological inventory in his/her everyday architectŽs work, to design exterior space taking into consideration the peculiarities of our climate, using simpler plants, surface covering materials and small design elements. A prospective architect must know how to work out the initial task together with a landscape designer.
