Subject 'Culture and Ethics'Name in Estonian: Kultuur ja eetika
General descriptionAn introduction course of culture and ethics which handles with the formation of ethical values in different cultures, cross-cultural differences, shows the necessity to know them and their significance in modern society.
General aimTo introduce different cathegories of ethics, to explain the necessity of moral behavior in society relating it with different cultures, and with differences in different cultures. To encourage students to develop their own theory of moral and ethical relation with the society.
AimStudents after completing the course know the differences and similarities of ethical values in different cultures, are able to orientate in morality problems of the modern society, in peculiarities of national characteristics, in interrelation between different religions and moral principles.
