General descriptionOverview of the general requirements on buildings and their structures; building elements: doors, windows, roofs, floors. The principles of designing engineering services (home tasks 5...7) and the bases of designing corresponding technical drawings.
General aimThe objective of the continuation course is to provide knowledge about construction of buildings and the practicable structures; making up independently home tasks, which is the preparation for the subsequent design courses "Dwelling houses" and "Public and industrial buildings".
AimStudents after completing the course know: structural schemes of different buildings; structures for building engineering services and the units occuring most; fixed knowledge about building materials and their fields of application in construction of buildings.
Form descriptionLectures and practical classes where the bases of each theme are studied thoroughly, then according to the individual tasks, practical home tasks are drawn up: designing stairs on plans and segments; elevations of a building.
