Aim

The general objective of the applied higher education curriculum is the preparation of the student for work in the chosen speciality. The task of the modules of general education and basic subjects of the curriculum is to develop the general educational basis and social maturity of the students. The acquisition of professional knowledge and skills takes place via theoretical subjects and practical classes, given in the curriculum, and through carryng out practical trainings in enterprises (working environment).
The engineer, who has passed the curriculum of construction geodesy, can work in all fields of higher geodesy and applied geodesy, both in state and private companies, as team manager, performer of geodesy works, cartographer, land consolidator, detail planner. After passing the curriculum studies one can continue studies in the master programme. Completion of the curriculum together with work experience awards the 6th level of SURVEYOR´s speciality (qualifications fremawork).

Learning outcomes

The student who has passed the curriculum in full amount has the following competencies:
- is able to actively participate in civil society;
- is able to evaluate the professional activity role and consequences to the society concerning ethical aspects;
- possesses the communication and teamwork skills and communication technologies;
- is familiar with the basics of entrepreneurship;
- is familiar with and follows the technical standards of geodetic works;
- designs and performs all the projects, related to applied geodesy and higher geodesy;
- masters the graphic programs for compiling geodetic drawings;
- is familiar with and can use geodetic instruments;
- can perform data processing of measurement results;
- can compile detail plans;
- can apply the obtained knowledge and skills in professional activity;
- is able to constantly and indipendently refresh one´s own professional knowledge.
