Diploma of Professional Higher Education AimThe general objective of the applied higher education curriculum is the preparation of the student for work in the chosen specialty. The task of the modules of general education and basic subjects of the curriculum is to develop the general educational basis and social maturity of the students. The acquisition of professional knowledge and skills takes place via theoretical subjects and practical classes, given in the curriculum, and through carrying out practical trainings in enterprises (working environment), Knowledge and skills of the graduates give special competence enabling to work as specialist with constantly changing road transport technology mainly in the field of sales, maintenance and repair, supervise. It is possible to have option to specialize on automotive maintenance and repair or on road traffic management. Postgraduates can apply on master programme.

- is capable of actively participating in citizen society and tolerates diversity of attitudes and values; - has systematic overview of automotive terms, theoretical principles and research methods; - recognizes interdisciplinary links between car construction, maintenance and utilization; - recognizes road transport actual questions and its applying opportunities; - is able to individually gather car construction, maintenance and repair information using appropriate methods and equipment and critically analyze and creatively interpret it and understand possible causes; - possesses information and communication techniques necessary to work in specialty; - is able to explain orally and in written automotive questions at discussion in study languages and at least in one foreign language; - is capable to participate at given specialty as expert or as an entrepreneur; - is capable to constantly and individually improve competencies required by specialty and job position.
