General description
A transport company (passenger or freight company) activity based planning - determine ofr need of
fleet; calculation of exploitation-program indicators and analysis, planning maintenance; calculation of
the materials cost, labor and payroll calculation, calculation cost of activity/ production and transport
net-cost; necessary financial figures. The analysis and economic interpretation of the financial figures -
taking cost-effectivel choice and its justification.
General aim
The course aims to implement acquired theoretical knowledge and deepen its use in practice
concerning transportation economics. Focuses both on skill of generalizing calculacions as well as on
providing deep analysis and making convincing conclusions.
Aim
- Is able to sketch a comparison of alternatives on a basis of program of activity and financial
indicators;
- Is competitive to choose an appropriate fleet with needed technical parameters according to given
conditions;
- Is able to find additional information if necessary to carry out economic calculations;
- Can carry out calculations of economic indicators and analyze them iapart and in combinations;
- Provides selection of more-important indicators, in order to select an optimal choice;
- Is able to take cost-effective decisions and justify them with the contents.
Form description
Final report is prepared in written form in accordance with TTK written work formulation
requirements. Capacity minimum of 15 pages, A4 letter-sized form 12th. The detailed content of the
work result is discussed with the lector.

Evaluation methods
Project will be evaluated in place 5-point scale (5-excellent, 4-very good 3 - good, 2 - satisfying 1 - poor). The final grade will form after oral interview with lecturer, during which the work with its content, presentation, and the level of student self-awareness of the content of the work will be taken into account.
