General aim
The objective of the course is to give an overview about soil properties and foundation types being used, as well as the design basics of foundations with low sinking. The course also deals with the shaping of piled foundations and their calculation as well as slope persistence.
Aim
The course provides within the framework of higher applied education curriculum the students a theoretical preparation in the field of soils and foundations for working as production managers at performing general construction works at the level of a company manager, project leader or supervisor, as well as designers of construction structures.

Student will have the necessary theoretical knowledge about the means and types of road structures to use in different situations.
Form description
Classroom work: lectures and practical classes.
Independent work: in accordance with the initial data, given by the lecturer, the student performs the calculation of a low foundation and drafts the technical drawings that explain the solution.
Mastering the material that was dealt with in lectures and practical classes.
