General description
The course gives an overview of the formation of towns and the beginning of urban design, from the Renaissance urban design to the present day complicated urbanization processes in modern European cities.
General aim
To give an overview of the history of formation of towns and town planning from the first settlements to the Middle Ages.
Aim
Students having completed the course know the principles of history of urban design and the factors affecting it, the social processes which have most influenced the global urbanization.
