| General description |
| Limit state design. Materials used in masonry structures. Behaviour of masonry subjected to different loading. Deformation properties in masonry. Characteristic strength and design strength of masonry. Calculating of wall elements subjected to vertical and horizontal loads. Buildings of elastic and rigid structural scheme. |

| The objective of the course is to give an overview of the materials used for masonry structures, the function and design principles of structures. |
