Checking and adjusting geodetic instruments - theodolites, levels, tapes. Founding a planimetric control. Tachometric survey of an area. As cameral works figuring out the coordinates and heights to the control points and compiling and formatting a plan of the area. Surface levelling and the construction of contours. Compiling a longitudinal section of a cleared alignment. A layout of the grade points with a polar coordinates and line intersections method. Layout of design heights.

The objective of the geodesy practice is to provide the skills of founding geodetic controls and tachometric survey as well as compiling an area plan.

Having successfully passed the geodesy practice the students:
- can carry out geodetic works independently;
- can use geodetic instruments (theodolite, level);
- can compile an area plan.
