| General description |
During the course, students acquire knowledge in the following fields:
- calculating loads
- properties of concrete and reinforcing steel
- the basics of designing ferro-concrete structures for buildings;
- engineering requirements for buildings and structures;

| General aim |
| On completion of the course on ferro-concrete structures, students should have acquired the abilities to calculate and design. They should be able to use contemporary technological solutions and analyze the load-bearing capacity of structures. |

| Aim |
On completion of the course, the student should:
- have a clear overview of main terms, calculating models and the possibilities of their use;
- be able to use acquired knowledge and skills in their work;
- be able to create economic solutions while taking into account the ethical aspects.
- learn to feel the amount of responsibility that lies in the result of their work;
- initiate projects and have both leadership and team work capabilities;
- be able to continuously improve professionally.
