General description
Ways of fixing norms, projection and kinds of norms. Methods of quantity surveying and cost estimating. Instructions of building costs classification. Estimation of labour costs. Estimation of material costs. Estimation of transport costs. Overhead and profit of construction company. Value added tax. Practical work using a computer programme for cost estimation.

General aim
The aim is give to students basic knowleges about methods of cost estimating, the classification of building costs, carring out the quantity surveying and norming

Aim
Positively estimated student knows methods of cost estimating, could classify of building costs by Estonian standard of classification of building costs; could carry out the quantity survey of building; understand basics of norming ressources; could estimate the detailed building cost plan with timetable; knows the basics to use the computer programs for cost estimating

Lectures, practical training, independence work carried out by workgroups to practice quantity surveying and cost estimating, internet-based teaching methods
