Module Description
General Study Aims
Preparation for studies in higher education level.

Outcomes
Student:
- possesses necessary skills to communicate and work in a team, is tolerant towards multitude of opinions and values held by peers;
- has gained basic knowledge in mathematics, which the engineering sciences are based on;
- knows basic foundations of economy, work and environment related regulations.
Core Study Aims
To create the general platform for technology related studies

Outcomes
Student:
- commands virtual modelling, drawing and simulation software,
- knows materials and their properties used in automotive engineering,
- understands mechanical and automotive engineering elements, like transmissions operating principles and mathematical relationships,
- knows basic foundations of entrepreneurship and management,
- can start and execute projects.
Specialty Subjects Aims
To provide knowledge and skills related to automotive engineering

Outcomes
Student:
- applies engineering knowledge and skills to operate and service existing fleet and technique;
- solves practical engineering tasks with existing methods;
- oversees application of correct procedures according to standards;
- uses general and specialty software and appliances;
- knows motor vehicle technical parameters and maintenance principles;
- knows local and international regulations considering motor vehicle operation, maintenance and repair;
- is able to use relevant database systems;
- understands vehicle fleet maintenance economical aspects;
- is able to design motor vehicles or their components;
- participates in composing technical documentation for product design and manufacturing,
- understands foundations of motor vehicle design;
- knows principles of system design on a modern vehicle.
Optional Subjects Aims
To provide optional courses to complete degree program.

Outcomes
Student:
- works independently, responsibly, reliably and effectively by following instructions;
- absorbs skills and knowledge for professional work as an automotive engineer;
- can use different languages in speech and writing for professional conversations.
Practical Training Aims
To provide possibility to apply and verify the obtained skills and knowledge in a work environment.

Outcomes
Student:
- is able to apply specialty knowledge and skills;
- makes decisions to solve defined challenges at placement;
- is able to map challenges;
- is able to gather relevant data for the graduation thesis.
Graduation Thesis Aims
To allow the demonstration of the acquired knowledge and skill through solving a complex specialty problem through theoretical and practical approaches.

Outcomes
Student:
- has systematic overview of automotive terminology, theoretical principles and research methods;
- has necessary communication and IT skills;
- is able to apply results of research in working environment;
- is able to define and solve specialty related challenges.
