Subject 'Cold Working and Fitting of Metals - Practice'Name in Estonian: Metallide külmtöötluse ja montaaži praktika
General descriptionSafety requirements in the working process. Short characterisation of the tools and equipment. General description of cold working operations of metals: Cutting; Drilling, Fitting, Sawing, Marking, Measuring, Sharpening, Taping, Riveting, Bending.
General aimThis practise is part of practice module in the curriculum of AT (ear engineering) and MI (machine building).
The aim of the practice of cold working and fitting of metal is: to study and analyse the technologies of making parts; to acquire practical knowledge of mechanical properties of materials; to practise simple basic metal processing operations; to learn to use processing tool and equipment; to study the fitting principles of certain requirements in the working process. AimThe student who has mastered this course is able to handle equipment, tools and technologies used in processing materials. Acquires skills in technical measurement, can read technical drawings and is able to compose technologies for making simpler details and bends using low carbon content steels as materials.
Form descriptionPractice, teamwork, individual work.
