General descriptionSafety requirements to be observed at arc and gas welding. Welder's working place and its facilities. Power sources for arc welding. Welded joints. Welding procedures, equipment and consumables for MMA, G, MIG/MAG and TIG welding. Plasma arc cutting and oxygen cutting. Internal defects in welds and their prevention. Welding quality control. Residual stresses and distortion of welded constructions.
General aimThe aim of the practice is to to get acquainted with different welding technologies used in technological processes. Analysis of internal defects in welds and the familiarisation of the mechanical properties of materials. Modern welding equipment and materials.
AimThe student who has mastered this practice is able to use different welding technologies used in technological processes, and understands the properties and quality of primarly used welding technologies. Can analyse the internal defects in welds. Can compose simpler welding process technologies.
