Subject 'ACad III'Name in Estonian: ACad III
General descriptionThe subject is part of module Planning III of the EI curriculum. The aim of the course is to give students widened skills and knowledge for using the computer program AutoCAD. During the course students create detailed plans of some constructional element and have to print the results on paper or save them on digital data carrier. The Acad block and its use for drawing. Attributes of the block - principles and employment. The open structure of AutoCAD - use of additional programs (Lisp, VB, Arx). 3-dimensional drawing - co-ordinates in space, possibilities of 3D-drawing (strand-model, 3D-bodies, 3D-surfaces). The views for 3D-drawing (orthographic and isometric views). Central projection and parallel projection in AutoCAD. The creation of 3D-bodies (box, sphere, cylinder, cone, wedge, torus). The creation of 3D-body with the former moving on the lead-line (extruding). The creation of revolving bodies. Mathematical operations with 3D-bodies (union, subtract, intersect). Editing and slicing 3D-bodies, making a section. 3D-operations -3DRotate, Mirror3D, 3DArray. 3D-net-surfaces, their creation and employment.
AimAfter the course students must be able to create independently 3D-drawings using AutoCAD.
